![]() I consider myself a reasonably techy person, but I have never once heard that terminology used to describe a browser technology in my entire life.įinding out whether or not your addons use jetpack require you to pry open the addon's files and look for certain things yourself. Thanks guys, very coolĪnyways, in that forum thread, Tobin got real mad because he expected everyone to find out if their add-ons are jetpack or not. I was only on the forums today to find out why I couldn't install extensions anymore, and it turns out it's because dev team went out of their way to block out anyone holding back from updating because of said addonpocalypse. I saw this thread on the forums today where Tobin asked people to list the extensions they want forked for the addonpocalypse. and the add-on bar at the bottom, I'm so used to browsers having something at the bottom that not having it there just feels naked ![]() Meanwhile, I'm just here trying to avoid getting a hand cramp. It's sorta weird to see how stuck-up and toxic the Pale moon space can be sometimes, there's so much weird drama involving this obscure web browser no one's heard of, the furry porn artist, and the playground bully on the forums. Meanwhile, Chrome doesn't even have a search? This entire thing is just changed entirely by whether or not clicking on the icon starts your search. Since I need to click on the search bar to type a query, I may as well also click on the search engine to use while I'm already there. The way Pale Moon handles this is a lot better. ![]() Well, actually, I guess I could press up a few times after I've finished typing the query, but that would involve me taking my hand off the mouse. The reason this is a problem is because its not ergonomic - I can either take my hand off the mouse to type out my search query, then put my hand back on the mouse - or I have to reach across the keyboard to type one-handed. When you click into their search bar, it shows some icons for search engines you have added, and clicking on the icon then sends your search off to that search engine. After having yet another "this site function works in the other browsers people actually use but not this weird niche one nobody's heard of" I actually started considering switching back to Firefoxīut the way they handle their search bar now is strange, it's one minor change that throws everything off.
